Reparenting Programme

Reparenting is a psychological process focused on healing and supplementing the psychological and emotional needs that were not met during childhood. It helps individuals recognize and then rectify deficiencies in their upbringing through self-work, often with the help of a therapist or through self-help. It also involves developing skills that should have been acquired during childhood but were overlooked for some reason.

Why is reparenting important?

Reparenting can be a powerful and transformative process that allows individuals to live fuller and happier lives, free from the limitations set by their early experiences. It enables the full discovery of the joy of life in relationships, whether they be romantic, familial, friendly, or professional. Additionally, it brings:

  1. Emotional healing: Reparenting allows individuals to heal old emotional wounds and process traumatic experiences from childhood. This leads to improved emotional well-being and overall mental health.

  2. Development of self-esteem and self-confidence: Many people who have experienced an insufficient or problematic childhood or parenting often have low self-esteem. Reparenting helps them build a more positive self-image and strengthen their inner strength.

  3. Improvement in relationships: As people learn to better understand their needs, their bodies, and emotions, they can communicate more healthily and set boundaries in relationships, leading to healthier and more fulfilling relationships.

  4. Personal development and growth: Reparenting provides tools and skills that help individuals better handle life challenges and advance in their personal and professional lives.

  5. Overcoming limiting beliefs and behaviours: Many negative behavioural patterns are the result of unresolved issues from childhood. Reparenting helps identify and overcome these patterns, leading to a more authentic and meaningful life.

About the foundations of our programme

Our unique Reparenting Programme is a deep healing journey, which was designed to provide deep understanding and practical tools for emotional healing and personal growth. We offer a comprehensive approach to healing based on rich, long-term experience in psychological counselling and developmental kinesiology. Our professional foundations include:

  • Attachment model: This model is fundamental in understanding how early interactions with parents influence our behaviour and relationships in adulthood. We focus on correcting and creating healthy relational patterns.

  • Biodynamics: This approach emphasizes the interconnectedness between a person's mind, body, and emotional state. We explore how emotional states affect physical health and vice versa.

  • Dynamic neuromuscular stabilization of the body: A technique that focuses on strengthening the postural and movement integrity of the body, which is essential for overall physical and emotional health. It focuses on individual developmental movement stages that may have been neglected or skipped (e.g., unstable sitting at an early age, missing "crawling on all fours").

Our programme aims to identify defensive mechanisms and emotional blocks recorded in movement or human movement structure. Often these are unconscious routine micro-movements that can block the experience of emotions. Conversely, unexpressed emotions cause some movement imbalances. Learn more about the method on this page.
